From Churchill to Cameron, each Prime Minister has used these private conversations as a sounding board and a confessional- sometimes intimate, sometimes explosive

No No Nativity
Vicar Joe is a maverick clergyman, often more interested in attending football matches than conducting weddings or funerals, especially if the church services clash with the fixture list. Having responsibility for the church school, he decides to seek sponsorship for their Christmas presentation.

His success backfires when the sponsors demand inclusion in the Nativity play. Mothercare, a local garage, a trophy shop, dental services and many more, look forward to playing a major part in the re written story. Marjorie Pritchard, a school governor, is not so keen and the comedy follows her battle with Joe as they fight for control of the Nativity concert.

“Given the lack of good clean family orientated comedy on TV it would be interesting to see the Vicar Joe character given a chance on the small screen” – Graham Williams, South Wales Evening Post

“Peter Read is an absorbing, entertaining writer” – Ron Meldon, Theatre in Wales

“Read makes you think and laugh at the same time” – Western Mail

The Ladykillers
The Ladykillers is a 2011 stage adaptation written by Graham Linehan based on the Ealing comedy film of the same name. The play premièred at the Liverpool Playhouse in November 2011, directed by Sean Foley. It then transferred to the Gielgud Theatre in London, opening on 7 December 2011 (after previews from 26 November 2011), and closed after a successful and extended run on 14 April 2012. The production, with a different cast, then embarked on a UK national tour from September to December 2012.A prolific writer and director, Graham Linehan is responsible for the hilarious “Father Ted”, “Black Books”, and “The IT Crowd”, sitcoms, and the pilot show for “Little Britain.”

Guys and Dolls - in Concert
Guys and Dolls tells the story of a group of small-time gamblers and the ladies in their lives. Nathan Detroit bets his pal, Sky Masterson, that he can’t make the next lady he
sees fall in love with him, and when the next ‘doll’ happens to be prim and proper neighbourhood missionary, Sarah Brown, the stage is set for an evening of high spirited entertainment, set to the toe-tapping beat of Loesser’s superlative score.
This specially staged Concert version loses none of the excitement and humour of the original.

One Night Only:  Saturday 3rd October.  7.30pm

Musical Meatballs in MIND
We are a music and performance therapy group celebrating ten wonderful years – during which our members have gained much more than they could ever have imagined.Originally started as a recreational activity, our Musical Meatballs in Mind has become so successful that we have performed throughout Wales including (by invitation) four performances at the Welsh International Music Eisteddfod. What started as a fun project has now evolved into something much more. As a group and as individuals we are motivated by the desire to overcome the limitations that society has placed on us by sharing our love of music and performance. Our aim is to challenge the stigma surrounding mental illness and we educate local communities and the general public through what we have been told are inspiring public performances. Many of our members demonstrate through performance, song and dance how they have overcome adversity. We share personal stories and showcase the strength and talents we have discovered, while at the same time providing quality entertainment.

As a group we offer a safe environment for self expression, creativity, friendship and a sense of belonging. We provide opportunities for social interaction, empowerment and self worth for a marginalised group of people whose talents too often go unrecognised.
